When I teach beginning woodworking classes, the first project is often a box. But rather than have students design a generic box, I require them to design it to hold something specific. Such a box is this one. It has special compartments to hold two decks of cards, a set of six dice, a score pad and pen, and two other card games my family and I particularly enjoy (Skipbo and Split). The dice are for a game I learned several years ago that I know simply as "Dice." (Although I have since seen the game marketed as "Farkle") All the games and accessories are included with the box.
